Chloe

Chloe Carson is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and Fear Free certified pet dog trainer located in Kansas City, Missouri. Her goal is to build mutually beneficial relationships between dogs and their people by using positive reinforcement and fear free methods. Although advocating for reactive, out of control, and aggressive dogs is her very favorite, she enjoys teaching manners and cooperative care to dogs of all breeds and walks of life.

Chloe’s journey in dog training began in 2018 when her dog, Blue, received her Canine Good Citizen title. Since then, she has worked as a dog daycare attendant, at-home sitter, grooming assistant, and trainer. She has been certified in dog & cat First Aid by the Red Cross and S.A.F.E. by the AKC. In her free time, you can catch her reading about brain science or the human-animal bond.

As a trainer, Chloe knows the importance of learning in an environment that feels safe. Dogs and people learn best when we can creatively solve problems without fear of making a mistake, and then celebrate every breakthrough. These simple skills we learn in class can be our first choice when we’re put to the test in real life situations. In this least intrusive, minimally adverse style of training, we are also watching for signs of fear, anxiety, and stress that may interfere with the learning process. By seeing from the dogs’ perspective, we are better able to interpret and influence the underlying emotions that drive the behavior of humans’ better half.

Chloe’s secret to successful training is diversified rewards. She loves Bernese Mountain Dogs for their anxious attachment style. Her favorite type of dog training client is one who asks questions, so please feel free to reach out.
